Monty Python And The Holy Grail

The 1975 comedy film was performed by the comedy group Monty Python and directed by Gilliam and Jones of the group. The film was liked by the audiences for its originality and it spoofs the legends of King Arthur’s search for the Holy Grail. The film received financial success and remains popular even to this day.

The film is a laugh out loud film and one of its kinds. The story is about King Arthur, King of the Britons who is in search of some knights. The knights pretend that they are brave and use several means to camouflage that. That adds to the comic angle. They are visited by God and are asked to search for the Holy Grail. They set out on the mission and meet many interesting characters on the way. Many characters die during the journey and the story ends with the king having successfully found the Holy Grail.

The film is hilarious and probably one of the best works of art by the troupe. The spoof on King Arthur’s mission and his caliber has shaped brilliantly. The killer rabbit scene is the funniest scene in the film and promises a laugh riot to the audiences.

The Scottish Highlands locations selected for the movie are beautiful and rugged at the same time which suit the script perfectly well. The duel fought with the brave Black Knight is the most memorable scene of the film where his limbs get chopped off one by one and he continues to fight. The movie was a huge breakthrough for the Pythons and the box office success of the film catapulted them to fame.
