The adventure film is based on the Pirates of the Caribbean ride at Disney theme parks. The film delivers everything that can be expected from a pirate’s movie. It tasted huge success at the box office and critical acclamation for excellent performances, especially by Johnny Depp. With positive reviews, the film grossed over $653 million worldwide.

The plot follows pirate Captain Jack Sparrow played by Johnny Depp and blacksmith Will Turner played by Orlando Bloom who rescue Elizabeth Swann from the crew of Black Pearl. Keira Knightley as Elizabeth is kidnapped by the crew of the cursed Black Pearl and gets rescued. The film is a complete entertainer as it is loaded with humor, action, romance, mystery and special effects.

The film has best performances by Johnny Depp as well as Knightley. Rush marks his part with signature performance. The work on effects and sets has been successful in adding the desired features to the movie. The scenes showing the fight between the two ships and the one featuring the attack of the Zombie pirates are stunning.

The film could have had some more scenes on swordfights and could have been done better. That said, the film guarantees blockbuster entertainment with all stances related to the pirates filmed perfectly well.
