The science fiction comedy film has been the favorite of many and is about three strange parapsychologists turned ghost eradicators. The film was one of the highest grossing films of its time. The Ghostbusters concept was loved by children and the cartoon series and sequels that followed were equally appreciated.

The special effects in the film are highly appreciable. Along with this, there are some nicely timed and wonderfully written dialogues that keep the audiences rolling over. The sets of the film are superb especially the ones used where the Ghostbusters go up against slimer. Also, the special effects employed in the climax are extremely realistic and very well done.

One of the finest comic actors, Bill Murray is a delight to be watched on the screen as he delivers his masterful performances. Rick Moranis, Ernie Hudson and Annie Potts have put in wonderful supporting roles and got their chances to shine as well. The subplot where the boys get busted by the EPA is a little unacceptable and stalls the movie in the middle.

The movie is a fun journey from start to finish. Being one of the most popular comedies ever, Ghostbusters inspired many subsequent hits and cartoons. The film has been enjoyed by the masses and is a huge success in the genre.
