Home Alone is a comedy film set around Christmas about an eight year old boy who is left back home alone while his family flies off for a vacation. He gets left behind by mistake and the story shapes as he tries to avoid two home intruders with his tricks. The film went out to be a huge hit grossing enormous profits.

The plot revolves around a small boy who is left behind alone at home while his entire family flies to Paris for vacation. Initially he enjoys his independent life but the story twists as two intruders plot to rob his house. The way he avoids the theft and scares them away is given a comic touch. The part of Kevin has been expertly played by Macaulay Culkin who gives a nice angle to the film and has helped hugely in making it a great hit.

The Christmas setting of the film makes it even more enjoyable especially during Christmas and is a complete family entertainer. The screenplay of the film was loved by the children and has invited maximum viewer ship. The innovative traps created by Kevin to avoid the attempts of theft are extremely comic. The film has captured the best qualities of Christmas and makes for a fun filled family entertainer.

The film has superb performances by Kevin and the two intruders. Although the kid doesn’t seem to be cute, he invites favor by the audiences and the two intruders are truly pitiable. It has been considered as the best comedy of all times and is always the best bet around holidays.
