King Kong

King Kong is the story of a gigantic ape which went on to become one the most famous movie icons. It is the remake of 1933 film of the same name and was very well received by the audiences and won several awards.  It is one among the highest grossing movies of all times.

The character became very famous and has been adapted into other forms of entertainment also such as cartoons, comics, video games and theme park rides to list a few. The film plays around the beauty and the beast concept where Ann Darrow played by Naomi Watts is abducted by the ape. The film touches the subtle relationship between the ape and its captive and the way they feel for each other. The film has various sequences where the ape tries to protect her and she in turn feels sad when King Kong is being attacked.

King Kong considers himself to be the girl’s protector and even tries to impress her. She is like a toy been given to him and he regards her with care. A certain bond forms between them and it has been filmed in a very touching way.

The film is a great entertainer though it is very lengthy. King Kong was lauded for its visual effects, sound mixing and sound editing. There has been an effective use of computers to create special effects, style and beauty befitting the storyline. The film elaborates on the association of beauty with destruction and tells how it actually depends on the way of perception.
