The cast seems to speak for itself for a film that is as memorable a film as there ever was. With a perfect blend of the psychological thriller and time travel Twelve monkeys is a perfect film for those who like to rack their brains after watching a film, it is not very easy to get in fact. The films centers around this deathly disease that spread and killed millions of people. Only a few survived and lived on into the future.

Bruce Willis is a convict who agrees to go on a time travel back to the period when the disease had spread to discover the cause. The fact is that the film is not very easy to understand or comprehensive as most people would want it to be, but it is a film that needs to be watched once to be entertained and a few times to fully understand, comprehend and be charmed by. The entertainment lies in the brilliant acting by the principle actors such as Bruce Willis, Christopher Plummer and Brad Pitt, also the visual effects that the director creates are marvelous. The underground scenes that are shown of the survivors living beneath the surface or also the scenes of the mental asylums are all nearly gothic though also very believable and scary.

The film is pretty fast paced and it is difficult to keep up with all the plots and the twists and the surprises in them. However, if you like to be thrilled then this is the film for you.
